ok, so the technician said that my power ic is broken so that i must change the Logic board, entirely. Im in Indonesia so with shipping it would cost around 600 usd. What should I do?

I wonder if I could also change it with P79 series Mobo, can I do it? Because 600 usd is not cheap and i think i should get more, at least better mobo with gtx 260m (P79's). I think the chassis is all the same (P78 and P79). Give me some advice please.

And please give me a recommendation, what is the top priority part to be upgraded first?

Thanks a lot for reading, I appreciate it if you could give me a suggestion :)

before you attempt that do some research , make sure all the ports match up. Some guy did that with 6800 series and it worked, but it turned out to be a hack job if i remember correctly. for $600 id rather just buy a new laptop :)

    what is your laptops symptoms?

And if I should buy a new one, what should I do with the current p7805u? Who wants to buy this dead thing? How could I get money to add to my new laptop budget? Please answer both this question and the post before. Thanks

Dead laoptops are really not worth much unfortunately. This is the problem with modular disposable tech. The items that are functioing that you can remove you can try and sell off..............

Have you tried baking mobo yet? I know it's not a guarantee fix but it probably worth a shot.
