My question is will this play newer games, and although I dont think the system req are out for Guild wars 2, do you think in your opinion it will runs games like that?

Anyways the machine is a Gateway FX 2252

    - 280 GB HD - Only OS installed, nothing else.
    - Nvidia Geforce 9800M GTS Cuda - 1GB
    - Intel centrino 2. 2.26 ghz
    - HDMI and Firewire 1934
    - 17" screen 1920x1200

Not sure that the Intel centrino is enough power for some high end games. Certainly not enough for video HD editing. The experts on this forum can verify if that is true or not.

My P7805u had a 2.26 centrino processor in it, the P8400 to be exact and HD video editing would certainly not be a problem when the computer ran crysis at max settings with very minimal glitches.

Somehow I doubt that. Crysis struggled at max on my desktop 3.6GHz Intel quad core with an 8800GT.

Duzey, it depends on the price. Those specs aren't exactly new. I'm guessing that's a used machine?
