just go straight to ebay. It was just supposed to be a pre-ebay offer. (I get tired of napolean admins pretty quick). I have (2) P-7811fx NEW complete. open box because they were optimized and bloatware removed. Currently selling for $1335 + 35 ship. Will put them on ebay for 1395 BIN+35 ship.
they will prob go on ebay on Monday or sooner. I'm borrowing a camera to take photos then. if you want people to know about this just leave this post up please.
I dont know why they took it down over there. Maybe cuz no photos. anyway I'm pretty fed up cuz I spent so much time building post. (I should have saved it offline).

 

Geek Squad Optimization? I'm not sure how they do the optimization, but my first 7811 was "optimized" (they only had optimized 7811s in stock). From what I could tell, all they did was remove a couple icons from the desktop, add the Control Panel icon to the desktop, delete some libraries for installed software (but left the links in the Start Menu) and installed BigFix. Supposedly, they updated drivers and such, but the drivers on the laptop were all stock.

Net: I wouldn't pay for their "optimization". For something like a Dell, that comes with a ton of bloatware (when I bought one 4 years ago), it may be worth it. But the Gateway preloaded stuff is easy to remove and some of it is even useful.

 

Yeah I dont really consider it a big selling point, just describing the state they are in. Might save some people a little trouble.

 

eh..it's over rated..and any comp I ever purchase from BB has it listed on the receipt - "Geek Squad Optimization" or somethin.. for $0.00 - And they've never touched it. But, I trust myself more than the Geek Squad to optimize my computer based on MY preferences..not theirs. ;P

el touristo.. If you post a FS thread here on NBR make sure you cut/paste the form they have stickied..then fill in the blanks on your thread. You gotta have the pic showing ownership proof at the very least. Just write your user name on a sheet of paper, and snap a photo with that sitting on the box or something. I had a couple closed when I first tried, cause I didn't know what exactly to do. No worries tho man.. If you throw it on Ebay, you'll sell it. Do a 3 day auction/buy it now. A 7 day auction may bring you $20 more..but people are just gonna wait to bid on it til the end anyhow. And if anyone Buys it Now..then the rest don't matter. My 7811 was purchased in 3 days..and I had a great first selling experience. $1300 + shipping. I made sure that all of my tweaking stayed with the comp, and still keep in touch with the owner. Overall, I think I may have gotten lucky and just found a cool buyer. But, most people looking for the 7811FX prolly fit that demographic. Im rambling.. Just use pics, and ebay it too.

seems that sometimes cool people dont want to bother being admins, that leaves... well you know lol. I will keep using or leave game servers based on admins sometimes...and server rules...they usually suk together. cool servers
have few to none rules and cool admins. and they attract cool players. if a plyr proves himself bad then he'll eventually be kikt or ban. but not at first hint of something that is usually misunderstanding like on bad servers. and the rules-lol they think they know better than the game's designers and need to implement all these fuzzy rules. like no-camping non-capturalbes..give me a break. and like no SK..when spawn is on way to obj lol. all that crap just cauzes annoying text in game and pisses people off.
they can change setting like shields if they want but stop with the stupid rules, class limits etc. thank god theres at least a few cool servers so I can ignore this crap. hmm havnt played in few days all this talk gotta go fire up the CRT lol

 

LOL. Light that CRT up! And el, I'm no admin man.. I was just looking out for your best interest in that PM I know that when I first started on here I got dinged by some Moderators/Admins for stuff that isn't the " NBR way " - So, tryin to save you the trouble man.

 

First thing I'll do is wipe the PC anyway. If you want to sell this I'll buy it but you'll need to PM me or something with some type of contact info, (MSN, AIM, SMS text, Phone, Anything) and we'll see if we can work out a deal.

Edit: Get back to me asap btw because I got guests over, errands to run for my mom and dad, and of course since I never sleep at night anyway I think I'll go out at midnight for blackfriday for my first time for fun.
