    NV52 display issues -- Display won't turn on

    The display on my NV52 laptop won't turn on. The computer itself seems to be working (the external lights and buttons are responding), but the screen just isn't working. Please help!

    I'm having the same exact problem! Anyone know how to fix this?

    Could you be more specific as to what video card your nv52 has in it? And what do you mean won't turn on??

    Try hooking up an external monitor. If external works you more than likely have an inverter or backlight problem.

    I would second that as this test is a good test to see if you have bad LCD or Inverter or bad GPU chipset. And if it is the later your motherboard is basically a goner and if you can find another motherboard to replace the bad board then I would at least look that route.
