I've got a Gateway Nv53 (2285) that had a bad power button board. I installed a new one, taking care with unplugging wires et cetera. Disassembly and reassembly went smoothly. I plugged the thing into the wall and no go. Not so much as a peep or a status light or anything.

I realize that the new power button may be bad, but I should at least be getting some status lights...but the thing is dead to the world.

I feel I'm missing something fairly obvious here. I went back and reseated all the wires I touched and even ones that I didn't but still no go. I tried the power unit in different sockets...nothing.

    Any help would be appreciated.
