Ok so I want to get rid of the gray area of this. the 7900gs is overclockable, In the e1705. Thats apparent. Because everyone who has it has done it. But its been said that it cant be done on the gateway NX860XL. And at the same time Ive seen 1 person claim its been done. So Lets make this black and white once and for all. IS IT POSSIBLE?!!! If So Is It With The Same Steps As An e1705?

you are asking if you can flash the bios to make it a 7900 gtx with fewer pipes like in the e1705?
No I doubt that. Theres 2 reasons. The gpu is a different format, you see theres 2 main ways they make notebook gpus, the more common way is the dell way with one bios,
but your machine is an arima something and they use the mxm type gpu with a bios in the gpu.
Ok the e1705 works because there is a video bios update for the xps 1710 with a 7900 gtx video bios.
No such gateway arima/machine. No such bios.
You can overclock the 7900 gs in a gateway the same as any other. -
Ok so care to help me figure out how to do it? lol
