i say the cryo because it folds up for space saving and has lots of fans which line up alot better with the vents on the laptop itself

Cryo LX; especially after you mod the stock fans with better ones (eg. scythe s-flex) and then pump 12v via AC adapter through it lol. The base of my X9100 equipped p7805u is always COLD.

I like the Cyro, dont 4get to get the plug in adapter for it or the fans wont run full speed.

But with the plugin adapter like you guys are describing, you won't be able to use the fans on full speed unless you have AC power nearby. Won't be as efficient when you're using it on the go.

I love my Zalman because it works great no matter what situation I'm in. It turned my desktop replacement into a laptop :)

Zalman's ok (I have it), but if the Cryo LX can use an AC adapter, get it. The problem with all these cooling pads is that they just don't have enough power. And if you really need to use the AC adapter, that means you're probably gaming, and if you're gaming, then you'll be near an outlet anyway.

Also, Zalman doesn't evenly distribute air, and it's design isn't perfect. The fans are set so that more air blows on the left side of the laptop, and near the bottom. This is great for cooling the HDDs, but I often turn it around and prop it up with something to get more air to where the CPU and chipset are. And it only has 2 fans. Yeah, just go with the Cryo LX, it looks better, and you never want to skimp on cooling with the FX notebooks.

I'm actually getting one too. I'll sell my Zalman. Don't want to say Zalman's aren't good, but I want a Cryo

Pimp out the Cryo LX too; replace stock fans with Antec Tricools/Scythe/Nocturna for some bling bling!

Thats why you mask off some holes to direct air exactly where you want it to go (CPU/GPU) :)
