I just bought this refurbished laptop and I don't know what is going on with the keyboard first of all when I type it doesn't type all the letters. and then the cursor skips back two or three words then it self highlights whole sections of sentences. I am typing on now and its very frustrating it also switches windows on me at ...is it a keyboard problem or a mothersboard problem. Also the curser disappears at times. help!

Does it do that in 'safe mode' also?

You need drivers where the option is to have the touchpad disable when an external mouse is plugged in...........

Try downloading the Synaptics touchpad drivers and increasing the PalmCheck setting, that should stop your touchpad from registering mouse movement as you type
