The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Need Drivers for an MX6025

    HDD went bad on and old MX6025, replaced it and reinstalled XP Pro, downloaded the correct driver set from gateway. ( they didnt list the 6025 on the web site but a Google search located it..)
    No such luck, several worked but many do not.

    This is what i need from device manager:
    Ethernet Controller
    Network controller
    PCI Device
    PCI modem

    Additionally it has no sound, i installed the AC97 driver( form what was offered in another thread about this MX6025) but the device manager shows a yellow explanation point on
    RealTek AC97 Audio.

    right now, getting the Ethernet controller would be optimal first,
