I have a Gateway P-6822 which I updated the bios from 94.25 to 94.28 and now I have problems, when restarting windows it sometimes shuts off instead of restarting it also makes a strange noise right before it restarts. I talk to Gateway which they were no help and My warranty is expired. I was wondering if anyone has the bios version 94.25. I even reflashed it but didnt help. Please let me know what you think or if your have the 94.25 bios version. Thanks!!

Well you can try the following, I do not know if they will help, but better than nothing:

    1. If you can try to boot to the BIOS and choose the DEFAULT setting and save it and reboot.

    2. Make sure that the computer is turned off and power is unplugged and the battery is pulled off, try and find the CMOS battery on the motherboard and take it out for about an hour and then put it back on and reboot the computer. Depending you on your computer it may be accessible from bottom panels where you change out the memory, etc.

I hope this helps any. God Bless :)
