    Need an nx850 serial number please

    Gateway refuses to help me get a replacement video card unless I provide them with a valid nx850 serial number. Anyone have one? Should be one taht shipped with a geforce 6800 go video card.

    "Thank you for your reply. If you can be able to provide us the correct
    serial number for the defective Laptop we can redirect you to our
    Corporate Office."

    I want to order a geforce 6800 go video card and they refuse to sell me one because it doesn't come with my laptop.
    Gave tehm the friggan part number even I would like to order Part# qnd32pa2vb00h2

    Wouldn't have this kind of toruble with Dell.

    Really? A lot fo the people ordering the 7800 from the refurb store had to provide a XPS2 serial number.

    Sounds like the same deal to me.

    Gateway's not in business to sell parts like mxm video cards for aftermarket support. They have access to some for warranty and basic repairs...but they aren't planning on selling aftermarket parts. Outside of some RAM modules, many manufacturers operate like this.

    Seems perfectly reasonable to me.
