Does anyone know any guides, walkthroughs, pointers for me? My GPU continues to have high temps, even with the NZXT Cryo LX, and I would love to be able to look inside and see exactly what's going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what are your temps and when do they occur? only during gaming? or all the time? I have the nzxt cryo lx as well and my temps max out at 63 during gaming.

This is not a small project. It requires complete disassembly of the laptop. If you follow the steps in my bluetooth install guide:

    http://www.bigwheezy.com/7805/bt.html

it will get you about 80% of the way there. From those steps you need to remove all the remaining screws in the motherboard and then remove the motherboard from the bottom case of the laptop. As I remember the GPU is on the left side on the underside of the motherboard. You can see the heat pipes coming off of it. This is a pretty risky procedure and frankly I'd recommend warranty service before you try this yourself since you will most likely void your warranty and could well damage the laptop.

My GPU idles anywhere from 35-40C. When gaming or running 3D mark, the temps get up in the mid 90s. I've updated bios, cleaned out the vents, and as I said, purchased a cooler specifically for this reason. My game FPS *used* to plummet when my temps got up to 100C or so, but I haven't had that happen since I bought this cooler.
