the mx7515 notebooks are coming today at best buy since they were out of stock earlier. i want to know if this will be a good notebook for playing world of warcraft and normal use. i only have about $1500 to spend. is this a good notebook to get or is there another that is about the same and is cheaper that would be a better buy? i dont know much about computers so u might have to explain what u mean. i wont be back til about 6:10pm pacific time so dont expect me to reply within that time. if u want to email me instead of posting here that is fine my email is [email protected]. thanks to all who post. and also is there are any problems that this computer has let me know plz and thankz ;)

Maybe something like th Asus Z71v with 6600 go card or HP dv4000 with the x700 would be better.

I haven't tried WoW, but I have tried City of Heros and the F.E.A.R. demo which worked fine. I would suspect WoW would be ok however as zazonz advises the dv4000 would be better...

    flip a coin.. ;)

Like what? The Asus will be the best built of the three mentioned.

Personally, if it were me, I would customize one on HPShopping.com. You can get it the way you like it. I would recommend the 5400RPM hard drive for better overall system performance. The DV4170us has a slower 4200RPM drive. Plus on HPShopping, in most states, you do not have to pay tax. The x700 is a better card than the x600 offered in the Gateway. The Asus I mentioned will offer better quality than HP or Gateway. It is in your price range. The 6600 card on it is in the same class as the x700. There are many good Asus retailers like ProPortable or DiscountLaptops. Good Luck.

Well, I have the 7510GX which has a bit slower CPU, and it plays WoW with no problems at all, with almost everything turned up. Also Guild Wars and Battlefield 2 and Half-Life 2 (both with detail turned down slightly), I've never tried Doom 3 on it. But I play WoW on it fairly often. I'm very happy with it for what I spent, the only thing I wish was that I could get a bigger battery.

    GL!
