I tried googling and closest i got was this guide that tells you how to take apart the laptop. Never once does it say how to remove the fan. Lately my fan has been making an awful noise, its not dirty i removed the bay and used an air compressor on it a few different times within the past week getting all the dirt and dust out. Did keyboard etc, want to remove the fan if at all possible so i can oil it up and try that out if its not alot of work. The fan sometimes is quiet as can be then others it sounds like its really reved up.

    I have a gateway p-6825 laptop
below is the mini tutorial i found

You need to take out all the bottom screws, take off the media key menu, take out the keyboard, take off the monitor, take off the top cover, and then you can take out both fans. Make sure you watch what you're doing when you take the fans out.

I gave you the steps you need because you have a decent guide there. You can also try the guide at the top of the forum.
