Okay i bought a board from GX-N10 motherboard G92-751-B1 promise the quality products, buy GX-N10 motherboard G92-751-B1 promise the quality products from alibaba.com

They sent me a board with the 9800m GTS (g94-706-b1) on I assume that must be the P-78x series.

The problem I have is that I put the board in and every time I put the power cable it powers up automatically, but no video displays. Yep there is no power button connector for the ribbon on the M/B.

The board has DDR3 and sata port for the DVD connector.

Need help trying to work this out, I'm using a my old processor from my P6860 machine with new DDR3 memory, could this be the problem?

Alternatively should I send the board back, sell my FX for scrap and buy a new laptop?

I know the power and media board is slightly different between the two systems, P68 to P78-79. The no video is an issue. The older CPU should work and get the video to at least post bios. I believe the old DVD is not SATA so that may be an issue but the newer drive should be a bolt in when you get one.

I would pull the video connection cables and reseat them. They are a bit tricky to get properly seated. If they are even slightly off the connection will not exist................

The problem may lie in then power button and media board. Another P6860 board will have another Nvidia chip issue at some point unless reballed with the proper solder.................

I agree with TANWare also I would not recommend a seller refurbished board due to a lower life expectancy and chance of something going wrong. Here is a very reliable guy I buy motherboards from he tests them before he sells them and I have never had an issue with anything he has sold.

The boards he sells have only been used 1-3 times for testing (Very good condition)
