So as soon as I got the laptop I formated and installed XP on it, haven't looked back since. Now I bought win7 upgrade disk and I have nuttin to upgrade from. I have no restore disks to put it back to original state to install win7. I still have the folder called Recovery and it's 7GB full, don't really know if I can do somethin with it. Could anyone with 6860 could burn me recovery disks and mail it to me ? I would cover the cost through paypal.

you don't need a recovery disk, just a vista one, i think anyone will do, just do a straight upgrade to vista, cause ur going straight to xp, you wont need to activate because your upgrading straight to windows 7.

either that use a backup method and do a fresh install. i recommend going to cnet.com, and in the video section there is a video to upgrade from xp to win 7 thats excellent.
