I ordered a Dell Bluetooth mini card and it didn't come with any screws.
Anyone know what type/size screw is needed to secure this?
EDIT: Never mind, found out I need 3mm P1 Phillips screws.

Hi
I'm in the UK and I can't seem to find 3mm P1 Phillips screws anywhere.
Does anyone know where I get them ?
Thanks -
Hi,I'm sorry for posting on your thread but I just registered and can't figure out how to make new threads.I just put a Dell 370 module in a P-7811FX and I can't get it to see a device,I tried the dell driver that it came with because I couldn't find any others,I have an icon but it doesn't seem to work. Also is the function +6 still work to turn it on and off? Thank You Bob

HDforme,
this driver is for 7811, if you have Broadcom module
http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/getFile.asp?id=22128&dscr=Broadcom%20Bluetooth%20Driver%20Version:%206.2.0.2600&uid=225537098
by the way, do you have antenna, too
if not, borrow one from wi-fi card and try again. try Fn + F6. -
Thank's for the quick response,I'll try that driver in a few minutes,I think I tried that last night but I am not sure how to load it,I don't have an antenna,do I need one?,If I do can I add one near the module? It's a Dell Truemobile 370 I'm not sure of the make,Has anyone put one of these in?I read that it works Thanks again for the help

Now I'm confused which module you have. If you've got the bluetooth module that you put into the MPCIA slot, you will need antenna. It looks like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Dell-Wireless-370-Bluetooth-module-for-Latitude-5400_W0QQitemZ180334053618QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item180334053618&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A2%7C294%3A50
But, If you have module with the cable, you don't need antenna.

Anyone know if the Toshiba Bluetooth Stacker works with this?
-
I have the first one so I guess I need I need an antenna,I'll use one off of the wireless card for a test but can I add one ? Witch one (color)should I use from the wireless?
-
I downloaded the driver from Gateway to my desktop then opened it,extracted all files and then double clicked on setup but that was all it did,no icons or anything,I don't know if it loaded or not. Thanks for any info
-
Device manager doesn't show it
-
You must be logged as administrator to instal BTW driver.
Right click on setup and run "As Administrator". This way
it will install correctly. -
As to the antenna, unplug the wire from the "AUX" connector
-
It all works,I ended up using the aux antenna from the wireless card and the driver that the bluetooth came with.I saw on E-bay for ten bucks a small bluetooth antenna that will fit in the card bay.Fn+f6 doesn't do anything though. Thank's for any help Bob
-
It is my understanding that the fn+f6 will only work if using an internal bluetooth module like such.

Thank's for all the help,I ordered a small antenna from E-bay but for now I am using the aux from my wireless card and both modules work good.As far as the FN+F6 not working with this module I can live with instead of buying another one and taking the laptop all apart,Even though it would be real cool if it did work.
