The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Need some help

    I did a clean install of Vista 64 bit ealier today. I have yet to install anything on my harddrive and 52 GB are already used up, is that normal? It seems a little high to me, but I'm not sure. This is after I sent windows.old to the recycle bin and deleted it from there.

    Doesn't sound right, from what i have read it should only use about 15GB. Maybe your have partition something wrong.

    did you keep the old windows file? it has everything you had before. find windows.old or something like that in your C drive and see how big it is, if you don't want it just delete it
