    Hey all,

I just bought and installed a new 320Gb HD in my P-7811. I've already backed up my personal files. All I'm wanting to do is make this new HD my primary one with all of the original software included from the old HD. I tried installing vista using the OS cd gateway provided but afterwards vista wasn't recognizing any of my comps hardware, not even my Nvidia 9800M. How can I make this new HD have everything the original had, factory default-wise.

    Thanks.

Oh and also, I don't want the partition feature of the factory default.

    Hello Delta,

If you want to clone your whole C partition to the new disk without the recovery one you can do it with free cloning application like this one:

    http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,62226/description.html?loomia_ow=t0:a41:g29:r1:c0.054264:b20036373

Mount your new hard drive into the second slot in the hd bay. Open the cloning program, select the source partition (C) and destination one (the new drive). It will take few hours to complete. After that you can swap your disks, wipe clean the old one and make it as your data storage.

    Cheers...

Thanks guys, I've got it up and running now. I didn't use the clone tool, though. I simply installed vista and then the drivers I downloaded from this site. Alls good.

    Thanks
