    New HDD for 6860

    Hey, I got another drive for my 6860 and have a question. I popped off the cover and over the connector for the 2nd HDD bay there is some kind of foil ribbon. What should I do with that? Thanks!

    remove the foil first.

    ah that...you can just take the foil off of there and plug your hard drive in. i had the same thing on my 6860 when i first got my second hard drive.

    Yeah, I saw that before when I was installing my second HDD. They probably placed that there to prevent dirt to go inside the connection since there is nothing connected to it.

    Thanks. I ended up figuring that out after sitting there staring at it. At first it almost looks like a ribbon cable or something important. But thanks again guys,I'm enjoying the extra 500GB.
