I just got back from Best Buy with a Gateway P-6860FX (On Sale through tomorrow for $1099.99), and I'm wondering what I need to upgrade. I'm not talking about things I need to buy, but rather drivers and such.

I plan on upgrading to a raid 0 and T9300 in the near future ^^

177.41 I think is the newest driver for the graphics card, that is the only driver upgrade I have done.

It was ending either on the 4th or the 5th.

    Do we know which?

That's really annoying that the site doesn't say.

    Actually we were wrong. http://www.notebookreview.com/deals/

According to that if you find the 6860fx deal it reads:

Best Buys weekly sales run Sunday through Saturday. Not sure if this falls into the category of weekly sale or not.

Well I just emailed them, so hopefully they get back to me soon.

Regardless, I think I'm pulling the trigger tomorrow anyways. Better to play it safe than miss out.

Totally! This is by far the best deal on a gaming laptop right now.

EDIT: Wow. I just checked online and for some reason BB has Store Pickup set to Not Available. I KNOW the store here had at least 7-8 when I bought mine and even if they were out of stock, you would still be able to enter your zip code to find other locations. Weird.

The sale ends July 5th at 11:59 p.m. EST. I called and asked before I bought mine.

Yeah I bought mine and Crysis there yesterday. Thanks to this website, I was able to upgrade my video card drivers last night. Crysis is unbelieveable. I'm running the game at High settings for objects, textures, shaders, and shadows, with the rest at medium. And this is without having upgraded the CPU yet, which I may do thanks to the wonderful guide here.

If you're in the market for a gaming laptop, and don't want to spend $4000 which I almost did for a Dell XPS laptop, buy this while you can! I give it 5 stars for the cost/quality ratio.
