    Hello all.

Processors for my FX laptop have finally become reasonably affordable and I'd like to upgrade to the T9900, as it seems to provide the most bang for the buck. Can anybody tell me what sort of heating issues might arise from the jump in power consumption, and how to go about assuring that my BIOS is compatible with this chip?

All bios versions should support the T9900. There are no heating issues I know of with the CPU but be sure to use a good TIM. Once possible issue is the TSZx locking up at 99c on one of the temps while the other sits normal. This is really a prevalent issue with the P7811 but on higher end CPUs in the P7805 can rear its ugly head. If so get Throttle Stop and under volt the CPU. This is a bug not an actual over heart, if it were both TSZ's would be high.

    Hello

I have the X9100 processor in my notebook P7805u FX and had trouble giving TZS0 temperature 98 ~ 99C. When he reaches that temperature the processor drops from 3.06 GHz to 799Mhz, and only return to normal when TZS0 lower their temperatures.

I could solve this problem by changing the DSDT table, see how browsing this forum: http://forum.notebookreview.com/gateway-emachines/298342-7811fx-new-heat-issue-acpi-tzs0-11.html

The problem TZS0 giving 98 ~ 99C could only settle on Win7, Win8 as in, even changing the DSDT table, the problem still persists.

Use throttle stop. This will ignore the tsz0 error where one of the tsz will read 99c where the other is normal.

    Yes!
Throttlestop also solves the problem of TZS0 if we are using a BIOS with EIST unlocked. I took the test and it worked perfectly with Win 8.1 PRO.

    TANWare thanks for the tip!
