I ordered a p-7915u mobo for my 6860 and was wondering if the p-7805u media bar will work. I also ordered DDR3 ram, which I assume is all I need in addition to the new media bar.

Ah, mine came with. I am not sure but the P78 and P79 have thiers below the wireless card and it plus into the MB, not a slot on the MB for the battery like a desktop etc.

Do you happen to know if the p-78 battery is the same as the p-79? Both are wired, but I'm not sure about the connector.

Should be the same. So long as they both have 3 pin connectors, they should work fine. Most CMOS batteries are the same.
