If you want to purchase an upgraded processor for your P-6831FX try Newegg at this link all of these will work in your system. Also per Snow Surfer read sticky for detailed instructions on how to properly install the new CPU and remove the heatsink as well as the stock CPU. (Snow Surfer's guide rocks !! Enjoy!! ;) Newegg has the T9300 CPU's now as well it is at the bottom of the page once you click on the link.

    You can get a 2.8ghz extreme CPU...but I wouldn't get that.
    google:
    T8300 is round 250
    T9300 is round 350
    the T8300 is 2.4ghz, and 3mb cache, the T9300 is 2.5 and 6mb cache.

What does that mean...T9300 is about 10-20% faster than the T8300, just depends on the application. In gaming a faster CPU doesn't really do much at all unless your running very low resolutions/no eye candy.

Hmmm would the CPU come with thermal paste? I have no idea about that subject XD Nor on its application.
