Hey guys, I just did a clean install of vista 64bit, and now I do not have IDT Audio software/drivers anymore. ALso my mic does not work either and I am guessing it is because of that. Where can I get the correct software to get my mic to work?

which model u have? I had to find the IDT "hd" audio drivers with intel chipset drivers when I installed x64 vista and 7.

Download this off of Intel or Gateway:
    AUD_allOS_5790.3x_5713.7v_PV_IDTGUI.exe

I just fixed mine with this:

Here’s how to get it done:
    Open an elevated command prompt
type “bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS” without the quotes (and no the DD is not a typo).
Reboot and enjoy being able to use unsigned drivers in Vista x64.

Then reload driver and sound & mic work!!

Let me know, I know the drivers will work.

The reason it won't load correctly is it is a itd non verified driver. I gave you the script earlier to turn off driver verification in Vista 64 bit (this ihappens only in 64 bit). Looks like it loads but it doesn't until you make this change...

No, if I'm not mistaken AUD_allOS_5790.3x_5713.7v_PV_IDTGUI_v83.exe is a driver provided by Intel for one of their desktop boards. You might be able to mod that driver to support the P6860-FX, but you can get modded drivers from LV2G just as well.

I'm talking about the stock driver provided by Gateway here: http://support.gateway.com/support/...dio Driver Version: 6.10.5939.0&uid=232259852

I also have the P6860-FX and am running Vista64 on it with the above Gateway driver. I know on the Gateway site it says 32 bit, but there are 64 bit files for it built into the driver archive; a manual install through the device manager worked fine. FYI, the mic does work.
