Hey guys, I just did a clean install of vista 64bit, and now I do not have IDT Audio software/drivers anymore. ALso my mic does not work either and I am guessing it is because of that. Where can I get the correct software to get my mic to work?
-
you have to manually install the drivers indevice manager.
I had the same issue -
how do I do that?
-
which model u have? I had to find the IDT "hd" audio drivers with intel chipset drivers when I installed x64 vista and 7.
Download this off of Intel or Gateway:
AUD_allOS_5790.3x_5713.7v_PV_IDTGUI.exe -
i tried finding that fps sean and I could not find that file on gateway or intel
-
uploaded it for you, zshare was the first site that popped into my head so:

I just fixed mine with this:
Heres how to get it done:
Open an elevated command prompt
type bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS without the quotes (and no the DD is not a typo).
Reboot and enjoy being able to use unsigned drivers in Vista x64.
Then reload driver and sound & mic work!! -
I am getting this error when trying to install the driver. I attached an image.

I think i got that error too and fixed it modifying the extracted package from the .exe, what gateway model are u using? P-Series?
Let me know, I know the drivers will work. -
gateway p-6860fx
-
The reason it won't load correctly is it is a itd non verified driver. I gave you the script earlier to turn off driver verification in Vista 64 bit (this ihappens only in 64 bit). Looks like it loads but it doesn't until you make this change...

Are you sure it excepted your edit? Did dos say edit excepted? You need to be in admin to edit
-
yes it did
-
try this driver:
http://support.gateway.com/support/...io Driver - Windows Vista 32/64&uid=231677676
Make sure you install 64 bit version -
-
Leegro WELL.............................did it work?
-
You could also try these:
Sigmatel / IDT Modded Drivers -
-
I'm talking about the stock driver provided by Gateway here: http://support.gateway.com/support/...dio Driver Version: 6.10.5939.0&uid=232259852
I also have the P6860-FX and am running Vista64 on it with the above Gateway driver. I know on the Gateway site it says 32 bit, but there are 64 bit files for it built into the driver archive; a manual install through the device manager worked fine. FYI, the mic does work. -
I have the modded file to work with P-6860FX, but ive heard of those lv2g idt drivers too. Can OP say hes fixed it ??
No IDT Audio after clean install
