    No audio coming out of HDMI - Gateway MD Series

    Try this: Control Panel ---> Hardware and Sound ---> Sound ---> click on HDMI and "set as default device" or something along those lines :)

    Nah, the only options I have are the default thing and SPDIF none of which solves my problem.

    From my expierience with two HP notebooks, if you don't see HDMI in the audio control panel you will not get audio through HDMI. Both my notebooks have HDMI but only one support Audio via HDMI.
