    Hi All.

My 7811 DVD drive vibrates a lot when the computer boots up. As the disc spins up, it's quite noisy, especially when the vibration is transferred to the desk. Is there any way to quiet this down, short of taking out the disk?

My Gateway desktop also is like this, due to the low quality DVD drive. On my desktop, a second DVD drive is far more quiet.

If I'm going to replace the laptop drive, is there a bluray burner that's pretty quiet?

    thanks,

    - Frank
