    Hi all

I just reinstalled vista 64 and can not get the conextant audio to work. It says it can not find the device when I try to load the driver. I can not see anything to do with conextant in the device manager either. Just the high def audio device. Tried to find it in add hardware but it was not there... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yup, the hardware name is misleading. If you go into device manager, then expand "sound, video, and game controllers", you should see two "high definition audio device", the first one can be updated with the conexant drivers.

so in order to do it, just right click that first one and go to update driver, then navigate to the conexant driver wherever u downloaded it to, and use that.
