Anyone knows if OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) will work with Gateway P-6831FX. Will the ram run 800Mhz or just down clock to 667mhz??

It will downclock and not worth extra cost.

This RAM should work at 667MHz and, if the comments here are correct, might run faster than normal 667MHz RAM.

Is there a way to oc the ram in the bios to get it to run at 133mhz. I don't think it possible but I just had a hunch but what is the safest maximum setting that will allow it to oc if any at all?

I think theres a version of Memset people are using to at least tighten up there timings since we cant go 800 cas 5, go 667 with Cas 4 memory.

if the RAM can run CL4 at 667 Mhz that not bad at all but CL5 at 667 Mhz is not worth of money
If gateway updates the bios for editing Ram timings it can be worth money cause you can force ram timings at CL4
