Okay, I broke down and bought a Lt 2104u, pretty damn portable and battery lasts long time. Anyway, It comes with the standard MS 60 day trial for Office and also a MS Works(with ads or without). The Works with ads is free, but who wants ads popping up everywhere and the minimal version costs $40. I'm not even going into the MS Office stuff.
So my question is, what is out there for netbooks, as far as this concerned. I looked at Open Office 3.2 and it would work if the minimum resolution wasn't 1024x768(LT2104u is 1024x600). :eek2: Of course, I have not installed to see whether or not it would work, I just wanted to find out first if anyone may have done this or is using something else that is better or that works just as well. I didn't want install 149mb program and then have to uninstall it.
    Thanks in advance.

Are they saying that Open Office's "suggested" minimum resolution is 1024x768 or "required" minimum resolution.

If it is "suggested" then I'd suggest you try it.

    :)

The folks at Open Office work hard to provide a good open source product. You might ask your question on their website.
