I don't know if you remember but I posted something a long time ago about two possible stands.. I ended up getting the Targus X Stand..
Dropped my GPU's heat by 20c.. I love it!

BTW, it was this stand: http://www.amazon.com/Targus-Mobile...?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1221529562&sr=1-50
Highly recommended for the P-7811FX. -
Good to know. I looked at that one. End the end I just built my own plexiglas stand for lunch money. Thanks for the heads up though.
-
20c is alot
-
nice stand, looks like it would be worth the $$, if i could afford it at this point i probably would buy one myself. but for now an english book will do
-
Hehe at least it's good for SOMETHING!
-
haha that made me laugh
-
Yup, After a 4 hour gaming session.. my laptop would hit 81-84c.. sitting on a desk.. Now it's maxed at 65c.
-
I think just propping up the back of the laptop gets the temps pretty close to that as well
But nothing wrong with a laptop cooler, I may invest in one if one catches my interest.
Edit: Huh.... I checcked your link after... you basically paid $30 for something a book could have done... but hey, if that's what you were after
-
Pretty much.
-
Yeah, but this isn't embarrassing to use in public.
-
well you would be pretty embarrased sitting side by side in public with someone using a book versus your fancy cooler
nice cooler thought I must say
-
Touche'.
Passive Airflow > USB Cooler, that's for sure.
I got to thinking.. I don't have room for a text book on my desk..
-
I got this stand as well and it rocks. Good luck folding up your book and lugging it around in your laptop bag.
-
i bet only the cool kids use PCMCIA slots for their cooling needs
-
wow... what is that supposed to do? Keep your right arm cool?
Okay... So a stand.
