    Obvious things to check -

    Is it plugged in?
Did you change your power settings back to high performance?

I know...you already made sure but some people don't. If it is still way off just take it back and get a new one.

Return it and get a new one. You should score about 6800-7000. Make sure AC is plugged in and set to 'high performance'.

What performance settings is your computer set to use. I know that the performance settings can affect how fast and or slow your processor will run. My windows experience index was 4.8 for the T5450 processor that came with this laptop.I have mine set for high performance and when I am at home I use it with the AC adapter plugged in.

It's set at high performance already. It seems that I got myself an underpowered CPU of some sort. COre voltage should be 1.363V while mine only reads 1.250V max. I hope my mobo is normal coz I'll eventually going to upgrade it to the T9300. Thanks all!

Heck, I've got a X9000 (installed yesterday)....only 5.6, you can get up to 5.0 on your memory by upgrading the proc., graphics and gaming are gonna remain the same no matter unless you can put a GTX in it and that's only a guess.. and you can get up to 5.9 on the hard drive by just installing a matching drive in raid 0...($106.00). My 3D Mark score went up about to about 8400 or so up from 7000 so all in all a few upgrades and you can get a 5.0 as the weak point is and alway will be the memory after a proc. upgrade. Any benches anyone would like to see let me know...promised to put some down but only if anyone is interseted...no interest in posting numbers up just for the sake of posting them. Not really into the numbers as I can tell all I need to by the seat of my pants gaming and it games very well.

Yeah, lets see some benches, get that X9000 up 3.0ghz and OC your GPU and lets see if you can be the first FX to break 10000 3DMark06, I scored 9810, what did the X9000 cost you? Is it possible to post your 3DMark06 results I'd like to see the CPU scores, thanks man.

Unfortuniately, when I received my FX, I immediately upgraded the memory, since I had it in my other laptop, so I didn't get a measurement.

    I do have one w/the T5450 cpu, and that is a 4.5.

This could get interesting. The X9000 is a 44Watt CPU. The rest of us are running 35watt CPU's.

When gaming, your power supply must be glowing red? Let us know how that bad boy runs.

Does this happens with stock Vista and stock drivers?

If so, send it back and exchange for a new one.

May I ask why you ask this question?

Can 3DM06 reflects real world gaming performance?
