    Greetings,

    Recently my Optiarc DVDRW drive that came with the laptop stopped working, the reading head just doesn't move anymore, I was told that the firmware might have been corrupted and that I needed to flash the Firmware.

    I've been "Googling" for almost a week and I can't find a firmware for this drive that is for this particular computer, I only found firmware for Dell computers, I also tried search the sony optiarc site but they don't have it either, so I'm hoping someone here knows where to find it.

    Laptop: Gateway p-7908u FX
    DVD drive: Optiarc DVDRW AD-7585H
