Im very new to overclocking and want to boost my crysis wars fps. I have rivatuner 2.22 and if Im not mistaken you need to increase the fan speed before doing anything else but I cant find the "fan" tab, Id like to gain about 8-10fps without any risks if possible but I dont know whats to high.
(off-topic question): Is it just me or does the fan sometimes randomly spike for about 2 seconds?
PS. Ive posted something similar to this in the gaming forum and had no help so mods please dont merge this. If you really need to, just close it.

Gaterway doesnt let us have access to the fans... we never have and so far no ones found a way around it.
The only way to increase air flow volume is with a cooler. It will help if you get a good cooler though.
As to overclocking Riva is good, but why dont you start with the nvidia contaol panel... its already built into the card for you
Also update your drivers. DOX 180.70 and 180.84 are both superior to the stock drivers nvidia send out. You'll get a huge boost in preformance for basically free just doing that
Isnt Crysis Wars an RTS game? If so your CPU is going to be limiting you more than GPU -
Crysis Wars is the multiplayer portion of Crysis Warhead, your probably thinking of Halo Wars which is an RTS.
I watched a video on how to overclock with Nvidia control panel and I dont have a performance tab in "select a task" on the control panel. -

As to the preformance tab... you need nvidias tool set

scrool down and iata has pretty much given you everything you need to update anything driver wise on the machines.
(be sure to rep him for his work)
as to the DOX driver... odd that it hurt your preformance. I posted some pretty stellar gains when i switched to the 180.70 drivers (havent tried 180.84 though)
Out of curisoity what FPS are you getting currently? 8-10 is a HUGE increase for most laptops so knowing what your working with now will help figure out whats actually obtainable for you. -
