    Hello all

would like to O'C GPU to

    Core 720/ Memory 915/ Shader 1850

How do I volt or undervolt, then overclock? Or can I just overclock to those numbers ok?

Hold on there. If all 9800Ms could OC that high, they would clock it that high. Mr. Andros has a lucky card. But even he had to take it in steps.

Now for overclocking. You will want MSI Afterburner and ATITool. Use Afterburner to OC and ATITool to test for stability. Only test either the core/shader or memory at one time. Seeing yellow and hearing dings in ATITool means its artifacting which is bad for your card.

BTW there is no voltage control unless you want to flash down to .9V from 1.12V.

    Good luck!

    Currently @

    692/872/1730

    Full load temperature @ 79C, idle 54C

Running the artifact checker for 5 minutes before adding in 5mhz increments.

Will edit post to reflect new changes.

I hoped that someone would have given me feedback, but whatever.

695/882/1737 with 80C at full load for 1.2 hours. No unstable signs.

Ran artifact check, nothing there as well.

    Normal idling temperature: 55C

Gaming for 45 minutes, temperature @ 69C highest.

What is your actual shader clock? (Viewed in MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner.) Mine will only be a multiple of 50.

I tried 260 Beta which wouldn't install so I tried the newest stable one which was 258 and the shaders are still in multiples of 50. Normally I would be fine with multiples of 50 if it weren't for the fact that my shaders can't quite handle 1650 so i have to use 1600 :(

And ATI tools sometimes give a false reading, which irritates me a bit.

I wouldn't stress test in a game unless it passes ATI tool. Before I discovered ATITool I would play Crysis in 660/1650 which I later found caused artifacting.

ATItools detected no artifacting. Will double check with Furmark.
