don't get me wrong...my hp is on permanent over clock because them 16 shaders just aren't cutting if for crysis. lol

and for the MB, i hope they do a 173 fx model with gtx card and no case change. i will be on gateways order page for a replacement motherboard real quick! :D

Dreven, nice scores. Could you post the internal Crysis GPU benchmarks to compare with my lowly stock T9300 post?
Curious what a T9500 runs today, my 9300 set me back $340US.

    cheers

    you always are hydra

the t9300 needs no cooler though. it will drop to about 18c to 25c while idling. and can run warm with out to much concern. haven't heard of anyone burning one of these up just yet.

your not going to fry your gpu with those clocks. this is just to see your marks. i would never try to steer anyone wrong...when i advise on things...means i have tried it first. just ask the people in the hp forums.. :)

Define safe ;) Lots of burned up 7900GS's out there..not sure, at this point in time, how well the 8800gts will hold up in the long run. This is the main reason i went with the extended warranty ;)

but..people love to OC and will just do it anyway.

I really suggest you not run your temps past 80C DRevan, heat is what kills no?

and as far as i know of...no one has burned a 8800m gts card as of yet..or confirmed burning one. but give it time...someone will spill water in one and fry a whole system.

Are yall using RIva Tuner to overclock the shader as well? Or can it be done on ntune?

Ntune scales up shaders along with the core clock. Bump the core to 600 and you will see your shaders jump to 1500 in gpuz.

installed it last night got my crysis medium settings now running at above 44frames a sec as i mentioned b4 though i use memset for 5-4-4-8 ram timing and also used ntune to 640-950 Yes i do have a nice cooler for the laptop and i was able to hit 44 frames on medium crysis with the x9000 @ 3ghz now that we have the PLL hopefully someone will make an overclocking utility for our intel 965m boards
