    Overheating Issues in 7811

    Are the overheating issues really bad in the 7811 with lockdowns and that stuff. I'm thinking of getting one so I need to know if it's a big problem or not....

    pretty much its the luck of the draw but most people with the 2888 issue of the 7811 dont have heat issues i have a 2887 with no heat issues at all

    OP needs to do some research..this rig runs very safe temps, 99% of the time. Sorry, not trying to be rude. But, obviously you havent read through those postings that you're referring to.

    If you aren't doing some heavy 3D gaming, it is perfectly fine. If you are into gaming, you should be fine. If you are paranoid about it, use HWMonitor or the NVidia System Monitor to keep an eye on your temperatures. Jacking up the rear of the laptop an inch or two will allow more air to flow beneath the laptop and lower temperatures if you are concerned.
