All the P FX currently come with a Dual Layer DVD optical drive, can I change it to a Blu-ray optical drive once I get it?

Yup. A lot of people here have done so using the linked guide. Make sure that your blu ray drive is compatible like it says in the first paragraph; newer generation FXs 7811 and after use SATA drives while older ones use IDE.

I got my blu-ray sata ct10n drive from a seller named battery918, sent a best offer of 125 and he accepted. Now his asking price is 125 so you probably can go lower

Same here, took approx 7 days to receive. No problems todate. Using Arcsoft Total Theatre for playback of blurays. He has his price down to 125 now or best offer plus free shipping. All in all a great upgrade. It is an extremely easy upgrade.

    flip laptop over
remove rubber plug that hides mounting screw
    remove screw
    slide out slim drive
remove mounting bracket from old drive
mount bracket to new drive (2 screws)
remove faceplate from old drive (be careful tabs are delicate)
    attach faceplate to new drive
    insert new drive
    install screw
    install rubber plug
fire the lappy back up and it will install the drivers for the new drive
