I'm posting this for a friend, hopefully you guys can help me. She bought this laptop not even a year ago and it was working great until recently. She moved to India and shortly after that the laptop has been shutting off completely at random times. There's no crash or blue screen it just turns off. I don't see how it could be overheating, the only game she plays is WoW and that's not a very demanding game, if it played fine before why suddenly overheat now? The computer also shuts off when she isn't gaming as well. Is it possible that using the converted to allow the laptop to plug in to the India power outlet is sometimes giving the laptop a wrong voltage causing it to turn off? Also what software can she install to monitor the temps of the cpu and gpu to find out how hot everything is getting? I already told her to buy a cooling pad to see if it's heat that's the problem. Today the laptop turned off 3 times in a row so that can't be good...
