    the 172FX, you get a better processor, the 4GB from 3GB of ram will yield no performance increase and if your killing for more space then buy a new HDD and put it in.

    depends. if you plan on upgrading the processor in either, get the 6860 for sure. if you don't plan on upgrading, the 172s. but the 6860 is a better deal, because of both os options, the 4 gigs of ram, and the hdd savings getting a 320 out of the box. the bluetooth is a cheap upgrade if you decide you need it or want. the processor would be the costliest upgrade.

    The OP noted that.

    For me, I would go for the P6860FX. Bluetooth's can be very useful, and the 0.17 Ghz increase in processor speeds will probably be minimal. You do wind up paying slightly more though.

    i would get the Gateway P-172S, then buy an after market BT module to stick in (should be very easy thing to do)
