Well, I have heard that this laptop model doesnt come with bluetooth and when I tried to use it with a bluetooth mouse it didnt work, I also don't have the bluetooth icon in the control panel. I may be a total nOOb but it seems to me that I don't. Can anyone else shed some light on this?

You could feasibly install a bluetooth module from some other laptop if you were willing to tear your laptop apart. Depends on location of Bluetooth module.

This is an example from a HP laptop. It's quite easy for this one.

There's a review with a additonal homemade USB port as well as a few other things for a laptop from 2006 or so somewhere around the site.

Here's a thread with some bluetooth upgrade options.

I really doubt anyone would sell you their bluetooth module. You might be able to buy one off Gateway, but I wouldn't bet on it. Check the gateway website to see if they have any online manuals for the P series.
