Lately I've been having trouble with my Gateway P-172S FX laptop. On some games the laptop would overheat to points where it would just shut itself down. Am I having some bios problems or should I invest in a laptop cooling station?

Remember Canned air is your friend, and its even more critical to keep a notebook dust free than it is a desktop (due to our limited space inside)

    EDIT:
    sniper'ed...

Hasn't been that long ago, but I will try that and see. Fans still blow out air, just gets to be dangerously hot air when playing say Crysis Warhead on DX 10

Are you playing these games on a soft surface by any chance? (bed, sofa, lap, etc.)

Naw, on a hard plastic type surface with plenty of space for air to get out, right next to an air conditioner :p
