I don't know if this should be posted here or gaming but I will post it here and you guys and move it if need be.

I am hosting a CoD 4 server and playing the game at the same time on my P-172X FX (specs in sig) using a D-Link DGL-4500 wireless N router, not on the Internet but a Local network.

My question is how many players can my computer handle at the same time while I am playing too?

Your upload speed is probably going to be your bottleneck and will determine the amount of players able to play fluently. What kind of connection are you on?

What do you mean connection? I am not on the internet, I am connected to the router on wireless N, point me in the right direction and I can give you the info.

Ok. Only half of your post showed up at first due to the forum running slow, my bad. Bandwidth on the local network shouldnt be a problem, but COD4 eats up RAM like nobodys business, which youre likely to max out running a server(and playing at the same time). I can't find any quotable numbers, but after a quick bit of research, I would think, 4-5 people with you playing will probably be about all you can sustain.

running 5 COD4 servers at work here I can tell you the FX could run one server fully pegged just fine...that is the most people with all the extra's

your bandwidth is what will suffer
