I've read a few comments here that the games aren't recognizing the 8800 GTS in the P Series as a DX10 capable card. Nvidia shows that it is, so what is the scoop on this?

Is it just the driver that ships with the machine? If so, does a new driver resolve this limitation?

I am hoping that the machine isn't somehow DX10 non-compliant. Being able to run DX10 is something I'd like the machine to do.

    Regards,

    R

Try downloading newer drivers. I heard that the stock Gateway ones don't show the card as a DX10 capable card.

When I get the replacement laptop, I'll have to do that. Where is the best source for these drivers?

Can anyone confirm if this will in fact enable DX10 abilities in games?
