Have you tried to download the drivers from gateway.com/support ? You can look under any of the P- FX series laptops.

just to add when i go to install the driver theres no setupfile it has to be done manually. the readme file says to extract into C:\\cabs\\the folder\\

then it says to type c:\\cabs\\thefolder\\preinstall.cmb into the start menu search and to hit enter, the file shows up i nthe search its in the right spot yet when i hit enter or click on the file it does nothing, its supossed to come up with a UAC prompt

wait you sure there are supposed to be double backslashes in that address? you might want to try w/o the double backslashes, they seem odd.

goto your C drive click on the cab folder, thats where all your drivers you downloaded are, go into each folder, you will find the setup file in each, make sure you uninstall the driver you want to replace first. Go into
device manager, and look for the wireless driver, see if it has a ! next to it, rightg click on it and uninstall it, then reinstall your correct driver. Side note: If there is nothing worng with the existing driver, then check you wireless network, and make sure the wifi switch on the front is on, many posters forget that.
