    Did anyone elses P-6831FX come without a Battery Cover? Mine came with the battery but no cover... I don't like keeping my battery plugged in 24/7 since it kinda wears out the battery life.

    I'm wondering if there's a place to get a replacement for it. Nothing on Gateway's website.

    I don't think I've ever seen a consumer level laptop with a battery cover.

    There were in the early days when batteries were held by covers when you slip them in like the toshiba 330/305cds but in this case I don't think it has - the battery should be flushed with the bottom carriage
