Quick question, With the P 6831's HDMI output, is it possible to use it as an Input from other devices? I have no reason to output but many to input lol. It would be nice if I could use the laptop as a monitor for something else :x

i dont think it will mess it up, just might look funny cause TV and Monitor aspect ratios are different and it wont run at native. Is there an option to run the PS3 at 16:9?

I really don't think you can input video on the HDMI output. It's connected to the GPU, not a tuner.

lol makes no sense to have an HDMI output on a laptop that has no HD DVD/BLU RAY drive. im going to try it later anyways.

You're never going to play games on that thing? Or even hooking it up for presentations/internet surfing at 42+ inches.

the 17 inch screen is fine for me, I am getting a TV soon though, so i might do that, but at this point its pretty much useless.

I'm using VGA out to a 20 inch LCD just fine...

Maybe if I win the lottery, I'll get a HDMI projector lol...

Nope! This outputs video and audio only. To get video in you will have to go with a USB or Firewire solution.
