Has anyone have Lojack installed on there P-6831?

I've been in a tech support battle with Lojack for about 2 months now, they have finally moved me up to the top tech support guy and she has made two different installers with no luck on getting them to work. They keep saying that there software cant find the serial number of the laptop so i need to talk to gateway, and of course they 3 times ive talked with them i get a bafoone, last gateway tech support guy i had told me that Lojack will only work if i buy the software from gateway, i told lojack that and in the reply e-mail she said "lol, i will try to contact gateway tech support myself today".

gateway tech support can be hilarious, i am surprised they didn't ask you to reboot and do a full system recovery.

anyway if you insist on talking to someone more knowledgeable, after 4 or 5 rep you might find one.

    LMAO!

How many times have you tried to install it? It took me about 5 attempts to get 'er done on the 172 FX. It didn't want to connect to the internet and the installer would freeze. Then the day I emailed their tech support, it miraculously installed itself.

takes forever when lojack tech support takes ~2 days to answer your e-mails.

Only 2 days? Wow, they must like you. I assumed they forgot about my inquiry until they replied about 5 days later. I really hope they act quicker when a laptop gets stolen. Did you have any luck contacting them?
