Alright I've been searching the Internet for a little while and don't see any sucess with this model.

I'm looking for the PLL for a P-6831.

My wife broke her Asus M50 (got about a month of use out of it) and I saw a deal though buy.com for a P-6831 (<$600).

Immediately after receiving it I've swapped the processor out for the Asus' T9300, swapped out the 1gb stick for a 2 (total 4gb), and added the 250gb HDD.

Just need to see if I can boost the performance with SetFSB.

    Thanks.

Do you want to break that one too?

If you search the forum, you will see many threads on this exact same topic. And as far as I know, we have one person to completely dismantle his 6831 without carnage, but he still hasnt found the PLL as of yet.

Don't forget the one that tore his laptop apart, and the others that gave up. :D

She broke hers by getting mad at me and dropping it on the floor. Wouldn't have broken except that the charger was under it.

I'm pretty sure Asus laptops come with a 1 year accidental warranty. Might as well get it fixed.

don't try to overclock your laptop if you don't even know how to search.
