Okay, just recently my audio driver has been freaking out. I have my laptop connected to my TV constantly through the HDMI port, and the sound has gotten terrible. It cuts out constantly and is super tinny. But my laptop speakers sound just fine.

I've installed the audio drivers off Gateway's site multiple times, but then my option for sound over HDMI goes away. I contacted Gateway, and they told me to change Encoded Formats on the SPDIF, and somehow that was supposed to get HDMI to magically work...

I need help guys, I can't find a driver that works for this and I need sound over my HDMI port! Thanks!

(I've changed the Sample Rates also, but it didn't change anything)

mmm I feared that... do you use sound over HDMI very often?
